Well it was tough out there today. I knew it was going to be a struggle to get myself started today after I tested my blood sugars on the range.. was already behind the eight-ball so-to-speak. Really wish my front 9 had something to do with the fact that my swing was terrible (which its not).. or that I am not good enough (sooo not true)..or the howling wind (it was brutal, but not that bad).... or some other golf-related reason instead of a really dumb sugar problem. I just cant seem to get a handle on how to manage my diabetes when it comes tournament time. I wish I could write something poetic enough that would allow you to even remotely feel what I go through when either a high or low comes over me, but even that wouldn't do it justice. I was really hoping there was a formula or simple solution out there for me, but that just has't been the case. Right now I can only prepare and try to predict what might happen, and unfortunately my diabetes has not produced the same outcome twice. Kind of leaves me scratching my head, wondering where to go or what to do next. I suppose the 'simple' solution is that it is just going to take time and being in those situations more.. a lot more.
Started fighting for my come-back when I did finally start feeling better and my numbers finally got in an acceptable range, which was after the turn. I actually started making rational decisions and my confidence finally returned, which is when I really started playing well. I was one over on the back 9 heading into my 18th hole (#9) and I knew I need to make birdie to have a chance to stay in the tournament. Tried to hit a shot too perfect and on the number...ended up making double, but either way I was proud that I had at least got the 'Carly' back on the course that I know and Love!! She is actually pretty good at what she does.. haha
When I finally figure this thing out... watch out golf world, cause I'm not going to be very patient to get my first win and beat this thing!!

Coati Mundi...
Okay so yesterday was muy bien! Hung out on the beach then hit the range an putting green for a few hours.. played a few holes in the wind.. then back to the putting green for some more work!
Middle of the night I hear this wrestling and kinda flip out cause.. I'm in the jungle, and flip on every single light imaginable! Staring back at me from the stairs are two coati mundi's, which are half monkey and half raccoon. Damn things scared the crud out of me!! Good news is that the only thing they ate was my fiberous bread, sooo haha stay regular you freaking coati mundi's!!! I'm assuming they are not going to be back after they ate that bread! :)
Other than that, tee time today is at 1:30something ... I cant remember, but should be fun! Looking forward to getting back in the mix of things!
Oh yeah and yesterday we were driving to the course and we have to go through these little towns.. 3 little girls were like running across the street in their uniforms and they look so innocent and adorable until one of them in the middle flipped me off and smiled! REALLY?? oh well it was entertaining at least!
Got to run, my food is ready!

Vamanos....
So Audi honestly got up to the platform and jumped in like a total of 20 seconds.. she rocked it! Oh yeah then it was my turn... lets just say it took me like 20 minutes standing on the same platform yelling at her that this was really DUMB and I shouldn't be jumping off of anything... then I just went for it! Live once right... ?? Must admit.. its a rush!PS I would upload my video, but its really lonnnng.. haha

Back in Mexico
So .. lets see so far Mexico has been awesome, other than the fact that I was only allowed to bring in one jar of my favorite peanut butter (yes I packed a few)!!.. Ma dont worry I sweet talked them into at least letting me bring one in, had to play the diabetic card and it totally worked..either that or my good looks and a wink did the trick..haha!!!
Highlight..Got an automatic car.. with A/C and an aux out for so me and Audi (my caddy for the week!).. dont have to sing to each other the whole trip. Although, I'd like to think that she would be just thrilled to listen to my aaaaaAmazing voice for an entire week!... honestly its a privilege!
Today just got up and me and Audi did Yoga on the beach. The yoga instructor yelled at me the whole time cause I was in child's pose, while everything that Audi did was 'Eso'.. ('good like that').... yoga drill instructor was just bias cause she could speak Spanish to Audi.
So after yoga we headed off to El Tigre and I got a really good session in, then hit the course for a practice round. Course is set up the same as last year, so no surprises. Ochoa Sports Management is running the tournament this year and so far, its looking like its going to be an amazing event and I cant wait to get it started.
Other than that.. just having dinner on the terrace listening to the waves crash over the sunset! Its okay be jealous, I'm working here!
